About the Plan
Background
The Baton Rouge Area Foundation has partnered with Sasaki to develop an updated downtown master plan and strategic development plan that recognizes the recent history of investment, incorporates current initiatives, and provides a clear, comprehensive strategy for continued advancement. Plan Baton Rouge II, the most recent downtown plan, was completed in 2009. A lot has changed in the 16 years since that plan and the Plan Baton Rouge III process will work to steer growth and development in the downtown area in consideration of today’s economy, market forces, community perspectives and priorities, and opportunities.
